Looking SE to the ridge of Mt Bolton Brown at center from near the lake outlet above the Golden Staircase. The trail runs close by the shore along the first half of Lower Palisade Lake before moving upslope/inland as it runs past Upper Palisade Lake just around the slope to right, and on up to Mather Pass...also hidden from view around the corner to the right 4 miles from here.
